Together, we are possibility.
Your involvement with United Way plays a big role in giving Northumberland residents access to life-changing community resources. You help our kids be all that they can be, you help build strong communities, and you help move people from poverty to possibility. For this, we thank you. northumberlandunitedway.ca (905) 372-6955 l (800) 833-0002 600 William Street Cobourg, Ontario K9A 3A5

Community Care Northumberland
Volunteer Drivers Community Care Northumberland needs both local and long distance volunteer drivers. Volunteer drivers directly help individuals by supplementing the driving of friends and family or taking on transportation for those without the ability to drive. A volunteer driver provides transportation using their personal vehicle. Drivers receive reimbursement directly from our clients to help offset the cost of gas. Local drives receive a flat rate while long distance drives are reimbursed based on 37 cents per kilometre. For example: - A return trip from Cobourg to Peterborough, mileage reimbursement is $40. - A return trip from Port Hope to Oshawa, mileage reimbursement is $39. - A return trip from Colborne to Cobourg, mileage reimbursement is $20. - A return trip from Brighton to Kingston, mileage reimbursement is $87.
